Cranial / Paediatric Osteopathy for Infants & Children
Cranial osteopathy is a gentle treatment suitable for children and babies. The skeletons of our youngest patients are softer than adults`, therefore this non-manipulative and safe technique may be used to soothe and relax babies at all stages of development, which may be suffering from e.g. digestive issues (colic, trapped wind), sleep difficulties, body tension, and head-shape asymmetry. Osteopaths also sometimes work alongside lactation consultants to give postural advice related to breastfeeding.
Paediatric osteopathy is a hands-on therapy that focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating imbalances in the body’s structure and function. Using gentle techniques, osteopaths work to alleviate tensions, improve mobility, and restore the body’s natural balance — helping children of all ages feel and function their best.
